On Android Pie, back navigation button should switch to the side where the thumb is (left or right side of screen)

Just a quick thought. With phones basically being bigger than ever before, I feel like android should be smart enough to switch to the side on the navigation bar where the thumb is at. Maybe not immediately when detected, but after 3-5 touches.
