What's up guys, Lately i've been browsing and i saw that Android Q will be released soon. So i was wondering, is Android is as secure as iOS when it come to let's say "intrusive security"? Back in the days if you had an Android, anyone who stole your device could just Reset it and use your phone as their own. With Android Lollipop (i think) i saw that when they steal your device, even with a hard reset, the OS still asks for the last ID used on the device. Is it comparable to iOS now or?!? Thanks! Are there Android phones that are consistently fast, smooth, and seamless as the iPhone?
I have a Pixel 2xl. While it is very fast, it has hiccups and freezes every now and then, which I don't remember happening as frequently on my iPhone 6s. I just got an alarm notification from my calendar that iPhones were going on sale. I knew I didn't set the reminder so was really confused why my Android was sending me a notification to buy an iphone. What are things we DO NOT look forward to in Android 10?
I don't want to turn this into a Sunday rant/rage thread, but I do want to discuss things that we do not like about Android 10 so far. I'm especially interested in things that got ruined over Pie. Yes, I realize that most people have not tried it but a lot have and a lot of news and features came out that already tells us quite a bit on what to expect out of the next iteration of Android. I would like this also to be a sort of a devil's advocate / change my mind kind of a thread too. So, it'll be nice if once a complaint is posted there will be people to tell how does one avoid or fix the issue or it's a non-issue. That way, we can discuss features, as well as offer solutions to potential problems. Let me start... Storage permission are supposed to be more restrictive. Why is Samsung so hell bent on continuing development for bixby when so many people hate it?
Curious iPhone user here who is is wondering if Note and Galaxy users have the same question. I was listening to an Android Central podcast episode today and they were discussing the note 10+, when arriving at the Bixby topic Ara Wagner one of the AC editors gleefully talked about how it was much easier to disable Bixby entirely on the Note 10+. This made me think that as an iPhone user I do use Siri fairly regularly, acknowledge that she is in some need of improving but I haven’t ever felt the need to disable her completely like I hear about with Bixby. I mean an app was created specifically when the S8 came out to disable it LOL. So why when there is so much resistance to Bixby does Samsung continue to pour resources into development even when they barely even glazed over it at the unpacked event compared to the Note 9 unpacked? Do any of you Samsung users genuinely like Bixby or would you rather Samsung pour their resources into something else? Sorry for the long post. TL;DR
