Beware of Port Out Scam - Scary threat to your security

You may have never heard about it, Port Out Scam is a scary threat currently affecting the wireless industry and many people and businesses out there are vulnerable. You can have the most secure passwords in the world for your Gmail, Facebook, Instagram, PayPal, Etc...You could have the most secure devices with no malware...but none of that will matter when your phone number could be hijacked by the horrible Port Out Scam. Your phone number could be stolen by a hacker, Ported to a different Phone Company, and they can reset your Gmail password, all your accounts that have 2 factor authentication could be hacked by your enemies. All they need is your phone number and phone company account PIN. How many people have secure PINs? Sadly the answer is not enough. Often people make it their birth date, 12345678, birth year or something too easy. Many times with the major Carriers the PIN is 4 digits...sometimes there is no PIN at all protecting your account(xfinity...obamaphones,low budget carriers).....I know because I work at a phone company and I see it every day. I don’t let anyone start a new account with a weak PIN. because I know how horrible Port Out Scam can be and how hard the mess is to untangle. For your security of all your accounts you hold dear to you make sure your phone company PIN is something no one but yourself could ever guess! Just giving people a warning because Port Out Scam can really fuck a person over. Don’t think about misusing this info to attempt Port Out Scamming on someone or else something really bad will probably happen to you.
