Sexual use of emoji is banned from Facebook, Instagram

Image
Recently, Facebook decided to take a formal stance against online sexual solicitation. To crack down on the issue, the social media giant has updated its Community Standards , effectively banning the use of certain emoji on Facebook and Instagram . To be precise, Facebook has banned the use of both the eggplant and the peach emoji when used alongside various sorts of sexual content. The updated Facebook Community Standards do not target the emoji by name but instead refers to “[commonly used] sexual emoji” as the subject in question. According to adult industry news site XBIZ (NSFW), a user’s account can be flagged or removed if any of its content falls under the vague criteria Facebook lays out in its Community Standards. Instagram clarified this process to The New York Post . The content “will only be removed from Facebook and Instagram if it contains a sexual emoji alongside an implicit or indirect ask for nude imagery, sex or sexual partners, or sex chat conversations,” said I

Pixel 4 supports display out through USB C but Google intentionally disabled it

There has been a lot of talk about the hidden desktop mode for Android. I was wondering if Google Pixel 4 supported display out but many people have stated that it doesn't. Hardware wise, it does but for some reason unlike everyone else who supports it through hardware, Google intentionally disabled it. Wasn't sure if anyone was aware of this so I just wanted to bring attention to this with the hope of getting the attention of someone at Google to enable it. The funny thing is almost all flagship phones INCLUDING iPhone support it while pixel does not. Here is the source of information that shows the disabled function: https://android.googlesource.com/kernel/msm/+/184170bea097dec34b9871fc724dcac9b5989427%5E%21/#F0 Here is an article XDA just did about this: https://www.xda-developers.com/make-android-10-desktop-mode-useful/ Submitted October 31, 2019 at 11:54PM by dylanhappy https://ift.tt/2PCvsWu https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

I need help with a technical question. Either an answer here or posting a link is most appreciated.

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J I would like to know if a person would be able to use a GPS transmitter to determine where the receiver for it is. This is for a Table-Top Game to annoy the Game Master. We have a now disabled transmitter that was embedded in equipment we took off an attacker. We know it sent our location to another location. The game is based in Marvel Universe, so Tony Stark level technology is available. Any help or a no would be most appreciated. Our next game is 11/04/2019 but if you feel like answering afterwards, I'd like to hold it over his head. Submitted November 01, 2019 at 12:28AM by Michael_Of_Discourse https://ift.tt/2JFO1Ft

Pixel 4 review from a longtime iPhone user. No bashing of any brands or OS!

Needed a workphone line, and my work is all Chromebooks and google based, so decided to get a Pixel 4. My personal use phone is an iPhone Xr. I've been iOS since the 5. The setup of the Pixel was super simple. everything I needed from my iPhone transferred to the pixel in minutes. Phone and apps updated, and everything was a go in literally less than a 1/2 hour. Facial recognition works really well. Too well. I sit down near my phone and it unlocks! That's not a huge problem for me, I don't have financial apps on the Pixel. Everything on the Pixel moves as smoothly as my iPhone. Gestures are similar, and so many apps are cloud based today that there really isn't much of a difference. I set up some email widgets and other tweaks needed for work. Played with the camera for a few minutes, and took some night pictures of the freezing cold sky. Very little light pollution in my neck of the woods. Night photos are amazing. Overall, it's a very nice phone, and I could eas
