Are there any small android phones out there with a high screen:body ratio?

Just remembering back to the good old days where touch screen phones had a smaller footprint. Only problem then was that the screens were much smaller also.

Now that very high screen:body ratios are common in new phones, can they scale down the footprint into a smaller phone, e.g. the size of an iPhone 5, and still have a fairly respectable screen?

Are there any phones on the market like that at the moment? Or rumoured?

Or are there technical/hardware reasons why they can't be made that small? e.g. battery / internal component sizes
