Will WPA3 come to existing phones updated to Android Q?
Android Q brings support for WPA3, I suspect this will be available on every new phone released preinstalled with Android Q, however does anyone know if existing phones that are updated to Q will get WPA3 support too?
AFAIK there should be no technical limitation why they couldn't as any phone that would be updated to Q will have recent hardware that would support the relevant AES bit strengths and most of the WiFi 'encryption support' is done on an OS level (hence why Windows 10 1903 and iOS 13 bring support for WPA3 to existing devices).
I know we can't know for sure until updates start but does anyone have any insights, or if all the other Android Q Beta devices support WPA3 (I know the Pixel 3 does)?
