This whole Google integration thing can be kinda scary sometimes
So a few mintues ago I was messing around with my phone (OnePlus 3), which is connected to my gmail account that I use for all my important mails. I use Nova Launcher, which means I have the Google Now integration. Suddenly I get a card that says 'You're leaving on a trip to Las Vegas in 5 days, here is your flight information and things you can do there'.
At first I'm like huh what is this, I'm not leaving on a trip to Las Vegas, is this some sort of bug? Then I remembered that earlier today my dad forwarded me a flight receipt for a flight my parents booked in a few days from Brussels to Las Vegas. The reason he forwarded the mail to me was that he couldn't quite figure out how to get their boarding passes and asked my help. I open the mail on my desktop computer, see the trip confirmation number in the mail, click on it and get redirected to the site of Delta Airlines. After a few clicks I stumble upon the message that they have to wait a few days to get their official boarding passes, so I tell my dad and that's that.
Turns out that Google figured out I was going on a trip just by the fact that I clicked on a link in a (forwarded) mail that redirected me to a booked flight.
I don't know, maybe this sounds all completely normal to you guys but for me it's kinda scary what Google can do these days.
