Heads up, double check your sharing options in Google Photos, the "remove geo location" option from pic shared by link has been removed.

I was just sharing a link to a photo confident that I'd set the setting to remove location from photos shared by link, but Google has removed it. This is what it looked like in Android (source), and from a quick google it was still there a few months ago.

I just by accident realized that the photo I shared by link had a location still visible, cause the option has changed to "hide photo location data" which hides it from everyone, even if shared directly through G Photos to a contact (which I was OK with, but there was no way to disable before). And this option was disabled.

Also, somewhat privacy related, there doesn't seem to be a way to see which photos you've shared by link or disable the link, but this might be an old change, from when they switched from rogue "albums" to conversations. I could have sworn there was a way to see all the shared links though.

Removable batteries discussion

I have always preferred phones with removable batteries so far, thinking that it will most certainly be the first component in a device to fail. I have even advised people in my circles to do so, until a recent event. A family member of mine still uses a HTC DesireX. Recently, he wanted to replace his battery because of swelling. He bought two matching batteries from different sellers. The problem is, even though they were unopened/sealed packages of original batteries, they were not holding much charge. (I suppose they waited on a shelf for some time.) This made me question myself. In the past, I have used nokia smartphones, and they were easy to replace with fresh batteries, since almost all nokias used the same battery type. Now with android, its all over the place. Is it even worth it to go for a removable battery device when you cant find a replacement a couple of years after you purchase it? What do you think/prefer? PS.
