How hard is it to learn how to and create an app?

I have an app Idea that I think is just what our society needs. I know it is not gonna be a very easy task for me to accomplish. I like doing things myself, and ik if I put my mind to it I can do it.

Just looking for an answer as to how long it would take me (knows nothing about making apps) to learn how to code and make an app.

EDIT: This app would be for phones and would need to have location services implemented.
