I understand the love of innovation nowadays but some are just seeming excessive and it's gotten to the point where we're losing things we like

Why does every (usually mid-range) phone need an inscreen fingerprint sensor, teardrop notch, 3+ camera setup, no headphone jack and more then 90hz display if a) they cost more b) they do less and c) they make the phone harder to use? I mean there is no reason to put the fingerprint sensor on the front other then to be like every other phone, along with the teardrop notch. Some phones are either looking ugly or generic, and cutting costs where it internally matters just to have the 4 camera setup? There are so many cool things from 2016 that phones recently have ditched simply for the sake of "innovation", which is bs because by doing this, we're limiting our phones. I (personally) love a back fingerprint sensor, headphone jack and a small or popup camera and I'm sure a lot of other people do. I'm sure the cameras are better and the display is better but if it's affecting usability, price and quality, I say just ditch it.
