Can't get my N64 to work on Hisense TV

I've plugged in the three coloured cables to the tv picture , but AV won't show as an option on the input source. Can anyone help with what I need to get for the N64 to work? The cables aren't damaged as we've tried a couple of different ones with no luck :(
