Random life skill into a profession? In-person facial recognition

https://ift.tt/eA8V8J

I'm looking for a career change. As a starting point, I am listing all of things I am naturally good at. One random skill I have always had is CIA status facial recognition.

The saying "I never forget a face" is usually a light-hearted joke but in my case it is quite literal. I've recognized people I went to preschool with and had no connection after that period. I've recognized strangers from the internet that I've passed by in person. If we meet or cross paths I will remember your face (but not your name). This comes in handy with networking. Also if I am in a very large crowd (concert, conference, music festival, etc.) I can find people very easily.

Not sure if this is related but I just took a neurofeedback emotional intelligence test where they flash photos of faces that have words written on them like SAD, HAPPY, SCARED, EXCITED, FEAR, JOY, etc. and the faces may or may not correlate with those words. You have 1 second to respond and I got 100% which the administrator said has never happened before. He said mean that means is the neurons in my hippocampus in temporal lobe - the area under the temple—that specialize in responding to faces (involved with the senses of smell and sound, the processing of semantics in both speech and vision, including the processing of complex stimuli like faces and scenes, and plays a key role in the formation of long-term memory) has very high communication with the frontal lobe (involved in conscious thought and higher mental functions such as decision-making, problem solving, emotional expressions, and plays an important part in processing short-term memories and retaining longer term memories which are not task-based) and the occipital lobe which is our sense of sight / visual functions (coordination of eye movements perception, image recognition, association, visual memory). But really I don't know what any of this means.

As a joke my friends call me "laser eyes" but I've always wondered how I can use this to my professional advantage - aside from networking.

Is there any type of career that would need this type of random skill? I know that most facial recognition is based on AI and technology nowadays so I'm not sure.

Looking forward to hearing Reddit's suggestions!

Your truly, Hopeful Laser Eyes
