Samsung's stubbornness with 4GB of storage for its wearables
With Samsung offering a phone with half a terabyte, it is frustrating to see the company continue to play cheapskate with its wearable devices.
Galaxy Gear (2013): 4gb
Gear S (2014): 4gb
Gear S2 (2015): 4gb
Gear S3 (2016): 4gb
Gear Sport (2017): 4gb
Gear IconX 2018 (2017): 4gb
Galaxy Watch (2018): 4gb
Considering apps, software updates and offline music downloads, 4 gigabytes of storage is bread crumbs at best. Samsung has not upgraded the storage for its watches for FIVE years now. In comparison, the base Galaxy Note 9 has quadruple the storage of the Galaxy Note 3 from 2013. Come on Sammy, step your game up.
Edit: I run a lot, and all my music is stored offline. Another thing to note is advertised storage vs actually available storage. My Gear S2 only has 2.2gb free even after a factory reset.
