Samsung Galaxy Note 20 updates: All the new releases (Updated: One UI 3.0 beta)

Update: October 27, 2020 (2:05 AM ET): The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra are now receiving the One UI 3.0 beta update in the US and multiple other markets including India and Germany.

In the US, the One UI 3.0 beta update is rolling out to Sprint, T-Mobile, and unlocked versions of the Galaxy Note 20 series. Those interested in trying out the new software will have to sign up through a banner in the Samsung Members app.

The update reportedly brings a bunch of new Android 11 features to the phones, including a dedicated chat section in the notifications shade as well as visual improvements to Samsung’s web browser, volume slider, home and lock screens, and contacts.

Samsung also has a thread going on its community forums to gather feedback from all those trying out the new One UI 3.0 beta on their Note 20s. The company notes in the thread that if you rely on banking apps, you might want to wait for the stable update.

You can sign up for the One UI 3.0 beta update on your Galaxy Note 20 or Note 20 Ultra by heading to the Samsung Members app. Here, you should see a One UI beta banner. Tap on the banner and press the “enroll” button. Now wait for a few minutes then go to the “Software updates” section and check for updates.
