I posted a few days ago about using E-6000 to seal my phone screen vs the recommended tape. This is the result of disassembly.
My post was pretty well upvoted, but I had a lot of people giving me shit and telling me it's going to corrode the battery, it's a half assed way to repair it, good luck taking it apart, etc.
What has it been; 3, 4 days? I opened it up because I received my new screen from etradesupply. My ribbon cable was going on my old screen and wanted to test this glue on the screen before getting my new screen, hence the last post.
In short, nothing surprising, nothing broken, nothing dramatic, nothing but people telling me I'm and idiot with results that don't reflect that. I spent about 30 sec's with the heat gun before using the suction cup to pull the screen. The old glue peeled up just fine, took about 5 mins with the plastic scrapers from iFixit. Nothin is broken, the glue didn't go all over the place because I'm not a moron and used it sparingly, and everything is okey dokey. I've included pics showing immediate dissassembly before any scraping, and pics showing the final result of my new screen using the same glue.
