What is happening with Android Tablets?

Ever since I saw the original tablets from 2010, 2011, I wanted to have one. Now, where I can finally afford them, they are dying out? When I go to Amazon or any other online shop, I get quite a bunch of Windows or Apple tablets but rarely an Android one. Didn't even companies like Samsung or Sony say they abandon laptops to concentrate more on tablets because this is the more lucrative part of their business.

Why is the number of offered Android tablets so small Thema?
